Ozark "Tractor" Restoration is a branch of Holz Equipment Service located in Gentry, Arkansas. Holz Equipment Service was opened for business in 1990 by Frank & Sharon Holzkamper who had operated a sizable award winning dairy, beef, and hay farm for 32 years.
During those years Frank maintained and repaired most
all of
the equipment himself. Upon selling
most of the farm, Frank decided
to offer his many years of knowledge in tractor repair to the other area
farmers. There is an old saying "keep it simple stupid", thus it was decided to
keep the business as a Mom & Pop, two-man operation in which a high quality work
could be performed.
Holz Equipment Service performs all aspects of repair, service, and restoration of American farm tractors, including but not limited to complete overhaul or repair of the engine, drive train, electrical, and hydraulics. When a major engine overhaul is completed by our shop, it carries a limited 12-month warranty. We can do this because we make every effort to make sure it is done right.
After seeing the
quality of the new tractors being sold after the 80's and mid 90's, it soon
became apparent there was a need for the older and proven work horses of the
earlier years to be rebuilt, and restored.
If you take a close look at most newer tractors being offered today, you will find that most of them have hoods, fenders, and other components that are made of plastic, which is easy to break and expensive to replace. Many of these newer tractors are equipped with computers that control not only the operation of the engine, but also the electrical and hydraulic functions of the tractor. Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that computers with micro circuits, dirt, oil, and moisture, do not mix. When these components fail and have to be replaced, you might as well bend over & hang on because it is going to hurt.
We can rebuild
your tractor to field ready condition or restore it to show room condition,
whichever you prefer. However, we do not install band-aids, either we are
allowed to fix it right, or we don’t want to work on it. Our good name and
reputation goes with every job that is completed.
